The Neuro: Community, Artist Residency & Mentorship

I am the Founder and Executive Director of The Neuro: Community, Artist Residency & Mentorship.

My art practice developed as my brain healed from a traumatic brain injury, never having made art before my accident. It was equal parts the most natural thing I had ever done and completely foreign.

Nine years after my accident and many synchronicities later, I realized a space was needed for people whose brains are in the rewiring or healing process to create and connect.

I researched the science behind the healing that art, community, and nature can provide to someone whose brain is rewiring. Once I understood more about why I was drawn to art and being in nature, and what I did not have, a community of people who were going through the brain healing process, I knew I had to develop an organization and programming for the neurodisrupted community.
